Constitution has "no chance in Poland"

and it was a "backward looking project" .
Polish President Lech Kaczynski said the EU Constitution has “practically no chance of being ratified in Poland, neither by referendum nor by parliamentary vote. We would like to elaborate a new text to get some order.”

The President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus also issued a call for a completely new EU Constitution, arguing that the current document, rejected by France and the Netherlands, is not suited to restore order in Europe.

While Nicolas Sarcozy still refuses to declare the EU Constitution dead, Tony Blair admitted that “one has a problem, when France and the Netherlands cannot be brought to approve it.” In a speech on 7th February Blair admitted that the no is a “reasonable large hurdle to overcome” . Gisela Stuart commented that the speech was a “recognition that the whole Constitution project was a backward looking project that did not address the problems of the European Union.”
